New Orleans, Mardi Gras 2016

Some of my favorite images from our recent weekend in New Orleans, our (original) hometown –  We spent the weekend downtown to watch Uncle Mike ride in Bacchus.  We stayed in a beautiful hotel and had a wonderful time – many, many thanks to our hosts!  The floats pictured (all except the pig float) were actually from the Tucks parade.  Only locals will get the humor.  I hope that you enjoy!

In contrast, here are a few pics of our new down-hometown Covington Mardi Gras day parade – trucks, jeeps and very rudimentary floats – 20 minutes – and done!  My husband’s favorite float below- with Big Foot!!  Lastly, I captured a sweet moment on the way back to the car:)

About danardoyle

I am a Catholic, working wife and mother. I have three children ages 14, 20 and 27. I am extremely busy, as you can imagine. I aim each and every day to put God first in my life, to teach my children the Faith, to be a supportive spouse, keep the house in order, and do my job outside of the home well, too. That's an impossible task - without Divine intervention! Here, I hope to share my triumphs and struggles with other working moms in the same boat. I will share the tools I have discovered to making it all work - most days!
