Two Really Great Books

These books do not need my endorsement – One is already a best seller!  I just really wanted to share what a good friend (thankfully) shared with me.

Fr. Jonathan Morris is my new favorite author!  His writing is easy to read and filled with practical examples and suggestions.   The Way of Serenity was so good that I read it in a day and a half – and I’m not an avid reader!  It spoke of very do-able ways to LIVE the Serenity Prayer – not just say it.  We really can possess peace in this hectic, immoral world in which we live.  Fr. Jonathan spells out the way to achieve the peace that only Christ can give.  r-RzAwAAQBAJ

The second book, The Promise explores God’s plan for the trying and painful times in our lives.  Fr. Jonathan not only tells how we can come to a greater acceptance of these difficulties, he explains how we can use those times to grow closer to God – to become better not bitter.  I recommend this to anyone who is struggling – physically, mentally or spiritually.  It will give you hope and a new perspective on the phenomenon of suffering.

About danardoyle

I am a Catholic, working wife and mother. I have three children ages 10, 16 and 23. I am extremely busy, as you can imagine. I aim each and every day to put God first in my life, to teach my children the Faith, to be a supportive spouse, keep the house in order, and do my job outside of the home well, too. That's an impossible task - without Divine intervention! Here, I hope to share my triumphs and struggles with other working moms in the same boat. I will share the tools I have discovered to making it all work - most days!
