Hearts and Crowns

Over the last couple of months, hearts and crowns have been catching my attention.  I don’t know if you’ve read my Crowley story here on the CWM blog,  but it’s much the same kind of thing.  I will be traveling about from place to place, minding my business, when a “random” heart or crown will get my attention.  After I saw a pattern and really started paying attention, I began documenting some of them using my cell phone camera.  There have been several “sightings” I’ve not been able to document because I was driving, or I was in a position where other people would have looked at me strangely.  I must be safe and discreet!

The most recent “heart sighting” was this morning.  I saw a piece of wood sticking out of the ground in a rock filled parking lot as my husband was opening my car door for me.  I saw the red paint on the wood, and being from Louisiana, I thought “looks like a crawfish’s jointed body.”  When I bent down to get a closer look, I saw that the wooden doubloon was cracked into pieces.  I picked up the pieces and puzzled them together – a heart – of course!!

I know that the Lord is trying to tell me something, because this is how He and I communicate – strange as it may sound.  Yesterday, there was a license plate frame that caught my eye, when I was backing out of a parking spot.  It said “San Mateo.” Melissa will get the reference:)

I know what I think this all means.  What do you think it means?  I know a song that I will post below my pictures as a hint:)

About danardoyle

I am a Catholic, working wife and mother. I have three children ages 14, 20 and 27. I am extremely busy, as you can imagine. I aim each and every day to put God first in my life, to teach my children the Faith, to be a supportive spouse, keep the house in order, and do my job outside of the home well, too. That's an impossible task - without Divine intervention! Here, I hope to share my triumphs and struggles with other working moms in the same boat. I will share the tools I have discovered to making it all work - most days!
