Star of Bethlehem

UnknownHave you seen the documentary that aired on EWTN this Christmas called Star of Bethlehem?  If you have not seen it, you really must!  Through study, a lawyer, by trade, discovers that the conception, birth and death of Jesus were literally “written in the stars.”  Those who are interested in astronomy and science will really get into this.  Rick Larson correlates all of his studies to passages in the bible and is able to show exactly what was in the night sky when the Magi were trying to find the Messiah.  Through a mathematically precise computer program, he is able to show what was happening celestially speaking on the day of Christ’s crucifixion and death.  What he reveals is astounding.  If all of it is true, then his findings show how truly awesome God is – that He could have written this history out in the stars and planets with such precision that it would coincide perfectly to the day of Christ’s birth and death.

All of this leads me to believe that if Jesus’ birth and death were recorded in the movements of the stars and planets, then His return to judge the living and the dead must be written in the solar system’s celestial dance as well.  There are prophecies regarding a blood moon.  In the program, Mr. Larson explains the term – basically it’s a lunar eclipse.  The refraction of light makes the moon look an orangey color during a certain part of the eclipse.  There is supposed to be a tetrarch of blood moons coming up in 2014-2015, beginning in April of this year.  What does it all mean?  I surely do not know, but I must say that my interest has been peaked!

About danardoyle

I am a Catholic, working wife and mother. I have three children ages 14, 20 and 27. I am extremely busy, as you can imagine. I aim each and every day to put God first in my life, to teach my children the Faith, to be a supportive spouse, keep the house in order, and do my job outside of the home well, too. That's an impossible task - without Divine intervention! Here, I hope to share my triumphs and struggles with other working moms in the same boat. I will share the tools I have discovered to making it all work - most days!
