Working Momma Woes

I should probably be ashamed to post this.  I guess I’m hoping that some of you might relate, and make me feel better.  I’m also hoping that by sharing my “secret,” it might take the pressure off of some other working momma somewhere – trying to keep everything going – and feeling like a failure.  Yep!  This is often my life from August until May.

During the summer months, I am blessed to enjoy a home that is orderly and tidy.  I love it!  I’ve been back to teaching for less than three weeks and this is what my house looked like when I left this morning.  Oh, the woes of a working momma!

a half made bed, three full laundry baskets, washed laundry all over the place – haven’t had time to hang it yet – the kids books wherever they left them after doing homework last night, cluttered kitchen countertops – big, big sigh!IMG_1657IMG_1663 IMG_1662 IMG_1660 IMG_1659 IMG_1658

About danardoyle

I am a Catholic, working wife and mother. I have three children ages 14, 20 and 27. I am extremely busy, as you can imagine. I aim each and every day to put God first in my life, to teach my children the Faith, to be a supportive spouse, keep the house in order, and do my job outside of the home well, too. That's an impossible task - without Divine intervention! Here, I hope to share my triumphs and struggles with other working moms in the same boat. I will share the tools I have discovered to making it all work - most days!

  1. It happens to the best of us. The only thing we can do is our best and accept that we can’t do it all or have it all. That’s not failing; that’s just life.
