Earth Day

love the earthI am happiest when I’m in the great outdoors – a sunshiny day, flowers, plants, water!  Heaven! – or is it?  Perhaps the beauty of the earth is a glimpse – a snippet of what is to come in the ultimate Garden of Paradise. All of creation is a reflection of God the Creator.  Personally, I find many parts of the earth and the mystery of creation to be so incredible and awe-inspiring that I don’t know how it is that people do not believe in God.  I feel that His existence is evidenced all around me.

I appreciate God’s creation – and believe that He has given us dominion over it all.  He wants us to use these precious gifts that He has given us – plants, animals, natural resources responsibly – prudently.  In celebrating “Earth Day,”  let us thank God for this amazing world He has given to us.   As good stewards of God’s gift to us, we must respect and appreciate the beauty of the natural world without idolizing nature itself.  God is the designer and origin of it all.  “Love the Earth?”  To GOD be all praise, glory and honor!

About danardoyle

I am a Catholic, working wife and mother. I have three children ages 14, 20 and 27. I am extremely busy, as you can imagine. I aim each and every day to put God first in my life, to teach my children the Faith, to be a supportive spouse, keep the house in order, and do my job outside of the home well, too. That's an impossible task - without Divine intervention! Here, I hope to share my triumphs and struggles with other working moms in the same boat. I will share the tools I have discovered to making it all work - most days!
