God Truly Loves You!

“God loves each of us as if there were only one of us.” Saint Augustine

This quote is absolutely one of my favorites.  I’ll tell you why.  Several years ago, when we lived in New Orleans, we attended a beautiful, historic church on Sundays.  The beloved pastor there was getting up in age, and was suffering terribly from illness – his body overcome by pain.  During one of his homilies, he literally lost the words.  Perhaps, because of the pain, he just could not concentrate on what he had wanted to say.  He stopped, and bracing himself behind the altar, tears began to roll down his cheeks.  After an awkward silence, he said, “I just…I just want you to know…that GOD LOVES YOU!  He LOVES you!”  He spoke so convincingly, with such authority, though his voice was broken with emotion.  It was as if God had consoled the priest, and told him that this message was all he need say.  It was beautiful.  I was hooked!

As you go about the trials, tribulations (and joys) of your day, know that God truly loves you as though you were his only, precious child!

About danardoyle

I am a Catholic, working wife and mother. I have three children ages 10, 16 and 23. I am extremely busy, as you can imagine. I aim each and every day to put God first in my life, to teach my children the Faith, to be a supportive spouse, keep the house in order, and do my job outside of the home well, too. That's an impossible task - without Divine intervention! Here, I hope to share my triumphs and struggles with other working moms in the same boat. I will share the tools I have discovered to making it all work - most days!
