Things that…

Drive me crazy…when I can’t breathe out of my nose*when I wake up an hour prior to the alarm sounding and can’t get back to sleep*restless legs that keep me awake at night*clutter*my neighbor’s new rooster that greets the sun each morning*when people try to get me to talk early in the morning (I like to be quiet for the first hour upon waking, like my dad)*itching*paintings or pictures that are askew*when my kids pick on each other*the junk mail and papers that accumulate on the countertop each week*when the internet goes down in the middle of writing a post on things that drive me crazy!!!

Bring me great joy…birds at the feeder*the quiet and intimacy of weekday mass* babies*smiles on my children’s faces*adoration chapel time*waterfalls*sunsets*a warm hug from my beloved*soft piano music*sitting in my neighbor’s driveway and visiting with all of my great neighbors*Claire de Lune*the freedom I feel on roller skates*cardinals*butterflies*the wet sand in my toes at the beach*Christmas lights*being able to bring another person joy (see a related great post at “Sue Elvis Writes” called An Amazing Power)

I hope you have a day filled with a joy that drowns out all of the things that drive you crazy!

About danardoyle

I am a Catholic, working wife and mother. I have three children ages 14, 20 and 27. I am extremely busy, as you can imagine. I aim each and every day to put God first in my life, to teach my children the Faith, to be a supportive spouse, keep the house in order, and do my job outside of the home well, too. That's an impossible task - without Divine intervention! Here, I hope to share my triumphs and struggles with other working moms in the same boat. I will share the tools I have discovered to making it all work - most days!

    Hi Dana,

I was just catching up with all your interesting posts when I noticed my name and the link to my post. Thank you! I love sharing with you.

I thought I left a comment telling you how much I liked your book but maybe I didn’t. Where would I have posted it? My memory is getting bad! Anyway, it was such an honest book. Thank you! It was a very compelling story and I very much enjoyed reading it and getting to know you better. Did you say that you have another idea for a book that you may write during your summer break? I hope so!

    God bless.
