Red is…

Red is…

a fragrant rose

a velvety ribbon on an evergreen tree

my Grannie’s nail polish and lipstick

a sweet, crunchy apply

a cherry on top of a banana split or in the bottom of a drink!

the throat on a tiny, green hummingbird

a New Orleans nectar snowball

a cardinal on snow laden branch

the blood Jesus shed for our redemption

His Most Sacred Heart

rosy cheeks on a wind kissed baby

the stripes on Old Glory

my adorable niece’s gorgeous hair

A firm but juicy Creole tomato

maple leaves in fall

hot, boiled crawfish…

About danardoyle

I am a Catholic, working wife and mother. I have three children ages 7, 14 and 21. I am extremely busy, as you can imagine. I aim each and every day to put God first in my life, to teach my children the Faith, to be a supportive spouse, keep the house in order, and do my job outside of the home well, too. That's an impossible task - without Divine intervention! Here, I hope to share my triumphs and struggles with other working moms in the same boat. I will share the tools I have discovered to making it all work - most days!

    Hi Dana,

I love your list. Your niece’s hair? Is your hair red too?
Of course, Jesus’ Blood and Most Sacred Heart would be top of my red list too but I do like “rosy cheeks on a wind kissed baby”. I can just imagine that!

    God bless.
