Pope’s Words of Wisdom to Youth at WYD 2011

“There are words which serve only to amuse, as fleeting as an empty breeze; others, to an extent, inform us; those of Jesus, on the other hand, must reach our hearts, take root and bloom there all our lives. If not, they remain empty and become ephemeral. They do not bring us to him and, as a result, Christ stays remote, just one voice among the many others around us which are so familiar.”
“It is always a good thing to keep seeking,” he told them. “Above all, seek the Truth, which is not an idea or an ideology or a slogan, but a person: Christ, God himself, who has come into our midst! You rightly wish to plant your faith in him, to ground your life in Christ. He has always loved you and he knows you better than anyone else. May these days so rich in prayer, teaching and encounters help you to rediscover this, so that you may love him all the more.”

About danardoyle

I am a Catholic, working wife and mother. I have three children ages 10, 16 and 23. I am extremely busy, as you can imagine. I aim each and every day to put God first in my life, to teach my children the Faith, to be a supportive spouse, keep the house in order, and do my job outside of the home well, too. That's an impossible task - without Divine intervention! Here, I hope to share my triumphs and struggles with other working moms in the same boat. I will share the tools I have discovered to making it all work - most days!

Isn’tit wonderful?! I’ve been watching the broadcasts on EWTN and I started to tear up everytime a message is delivered directly to the youth. It is beautiful. I can hardly wait til my daughter comes home from WYD late Monday. She will have stories to tell for a lifetime.

I hope that your daughter makes it home safely with lots of great stories to tell. I hope that she was inspired! It has inspired me to see so many faithful young people traveling such a distance for a good purpose!
