I’m Officially Exhausted

O.K., I’m officially exhausted!  I’ve been back at work for less than a week, and already my house is a mess.  Papers to fill out for each child’s school are strewn all over the kitchen countertop and table.   Laundry has been half processed.  Thanks to my husband, who has been washing clothes before going to work, we do have clean clothes to wear.  However, we must dig through the pile that lays across the top of the sofa to find them!  There has not enough time to put them on hangers -yet.  I could barely hold my eyes open when I got home today.  The heat here in the deep south is downright oppressive.  I took a little nap from 4-5 p.m., just before ordering pizza to be delivered!  I can’t believe I only lasted three days cooking my own meals, before indulging my fatigue and picking up the phone!

This too shall pass!  Both of my children who attended their first day of school today had great experiences!  I am thankful for that.  God is so good!  “Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. ”  Psalm 68:19

The doorbell just rang.  Dinner at the Doyle house is served!

About danardoyle

I am a Catholic, working wife and mother. I have three children ages 10, 16 and 23. I am extremely busy, as you can imagine. I aim each and every day to put God first in my life, to teach my children the Faith, to be a supportive spouse, keep the house in order, and do my job outside of the home well, too. That's an impossible task - without Divine intervention! Here, I hope to share my triumphs and struggles with other working moms in the same boat. I will share the tools I have discovered to making it all work - most days!

Hats off to you! I’m most likely going back to work part-time next month…and just that thought makes me tired! Enjoy your pizza!
