In today’s gospel, Jesus tells the parable of the servants with the talents. God made each of us out of love. He gifted us with certain talents and aptitudes that are ours alone. He does not give us these treasures to keep to ourselves, but to further His kingdom on earth.
Think about this: If we fail to prayerfully identify, develop, and use these gifts, there are lives that may go untouched. God wants to use us – work through us- to bring others to Him.
Prayer: Lord, take all that I have and all that I am. Use me to do Your Will – and Yours alone. Help me to identify, develop and use the gifts and talents for which You have graciously blessed me. Use me to bring others to You!
